The currency is Cyprus pounds and Turkish Lira. You can get cash from ATM machines. It is advisable not to bring too many Turkish Lira, you get a better rate here in Cyprus for your cash currency. There is a small commission charge for changing travellers cheques. Euro will be the currency as from 01 January 2008.
